Prepared the261-character scalar-source handoff and full protocol extension, retaining the original candidate hash and absence/metadata/editor checks. A fresh defaultClaude source-only launch is authorized after the failed writer's retirement, with explicit wait for root identity verification before editing. It owns only the one new scalar test; no model override, stale character adoption, fixture/bootstrap/helper/input/test execution or runtime-data change is authorized. Final checkpoint and actual source acceptance remain root-owned.
